No one said being a comic book artist was easy!
PORTERHOUSE follows a young struggling comic book artist trying to make a name for himself in the comic book industry ( to correct the previous review, he isn't starting a web comic. ). And to join him on his quest is a giant peanut, who is your basic comic relief character.

The strip is actually loosely based on personal experiences from it's two artists. And being a fellow artist I can pretty much relate to most of the strips.

As of now, PORTERHOUSE is still fairly new, but I am really interested to see where the strip is heading. The artwork is solid, and as long as it doesn't keep too much to the typical "roommate" comic, it could turn into something great!

Typical, but respectable artwork...
A man and his walking, talking peanut... But the man is a struggling cartoonist trying to start a web comic, in a start up webcomic... Ouch, that's feeling cliche! The peanut just annoys me. The strip feels like just another two guys hanging out strip (except one is again a walking, talking peanut).

The one thing I'll note is it's really clean cut, showing that the artist has put some time into it. Maybe if it were a little more original, like so many other comics out there, then it might be something respectable. Not yet though.
