| Description*: | "Shivering" is a story inspired in many ways by the neighborhoods I grew up in. I wanted to explore the foolishness of lust as I’ve experienced it, while occupying an immediately recognizable setting. Characters are as familiar to me as family, but I wanted to trouble them with matters elemental to mankind overall. In this story I endeavored to bring a celestial down to Earth, to backwoods North Carolina even. What happened there was completely out of my control. | ||||
