Description*: | Konny & Czu are a pair of extraterrestrial con artists who roam the galaxy in search of scams and the big payoff. The tone of these stories is very light-hearted and comedic, while maintaining a hard science edge no matter how fantastic things got. The Konny & Czu stories contain absolutely NO humanoids or anything even remotely of terrestrial origin. This is the prime rule that Matt and his frequent Konny & Czu collaborator D. M. Kister adhere to with fanatical loyalty. Matt's first Konny & Czu story was his self-published 'The Hoobi Yaps Artifact' done in 1983 using various strange photographs by Brenda Barrows as weird effects, soon followed by the limited edition mini-comic 'Dips'. Years would pass before Howarth and Kister would start doing their Konny & Czu strips, which were serialized in the ALBEDO comic book series. Years later, they collected these stories and did new ones for the KONNY & CZU comic book series (published by Antarctic Press). Around this time, Matt did a few full color Konny & Czu strips which were published in the Color ALBEDO series (also published by Antarctic Press). | ||||
