at first glance this is your standard 'slice of life' comic with some weirdness. but it has potential! why do i say this? because the artist/writer is very open to critique and very willing to discuss what she feels is/isn't the strong point of a page AND how to improve it. regular updates, friendly artist, cameos offered on ocassion, and it'll at least give you a smile or two. hey, it's not going to change the world, but it might brighten your day. for that, it's worth at least a peek.
Though attractively drawn, this strip depends heavily on humor that is simply not funny. Utilizing mild sitcom-flavored irony, tired old gags and exhausting metahumor that presumes a lot to expect the audience to already be accepting the strip on its own terms at this point, there's just no laughs to be had. A strip should have been running for longer than thirty updates before it starts indulging in self-parody.
Somebody throwing a computer out the window because she got mad is not "random", its predictable. Very, very predictable.

Well drawn, but devoid of entertainment value. Relies heavily on the variety of self-indulgent humor that seriously overestimates how quirky the characters are, and visual gags that need to be explained in the author's notes.
If you think that drinking Pepsi and looking at cats is comic gold, then perhaps you can stand this comic.

amusing with high potential
fun, fluffy comic. There may be more to say when there are more comics.
Gag driven weekly comic with mostly one strip gags and a few two to three strip arcs. Opens in psychiatrist's office where main character discovers that the blue dragon is real. And it is a Pepsi fanatic. To answer the subject question, you live with it. Much fun ensues. This one is good enough that I swing by to vote for it daily.
although still in its early stages, this comic defiantly has a lot of potential. I came across it through an add one day, and thought, "Eh, what the heck." sure enough, it was well worth it. It is funny, quirky, and has a lot of things in it that just make you want to cry you're laughing so hard. This comic is random, but that is part of its appeal. Its even more fun, because you never know what is going to happen next! one day it could be a look into Thlilath's mind, the next, it could be someone throwing a computer out the window! (literally. this happened in the comic.) THere are only a few comics up now, but the art style is solid, the story is hilarious, the characters original, and they just make you want to read them again and again! It never gets old! I've read the whole series about five times already. Still just as funny as the first time! IF you are looking for a comic to read throuought the week, this is a MUST!
Elenawing is one of those comics that surprises with an idea I haven't seen before. As everyone knows, we tend to take on different personalities one the internet. Some take this to a whole new level and create entirely different alter-egos.
But rarely do we wonder how we might actually get along with how we are on the internet.
That's the basis of the comic and it allows for the tried and true "buddy comic", where it's basically about the interactions between the two main characters, Claire and her internet personality come to life, Elena. This comic also has a third character, a derpy fox, who might I add had the greatest character introduction I have ever seen in a comic.
The humor in the comic so far is pretty consistent in the "one-off" style, and it's really appreciated. There's no real story and that's alright. You don't need it when you have Elena ending a short arc with a terrified expression on her face, holding a hammer in the air above an unsuspecting Claire. It's random and hilarious, but not the kind of random that makes you scratch your head and look for the punchline. It's the kind that sets up for a punchline and slaps you in the face with a rubber chicken. It's dorky, funny, but it makes me laugh aloud in the most literal sense.
My only suggestion is that this comic not fall to the dreaded Cerberus syndrome. Trust me when I say that this comic is perfectly fine without a highly contrived story or "epic" plot of sorts. At the same time, I hope that the artist can keep up the sense of humor without having to resort to an actual story, which I know can be difficult.
As I final note, I'll be the first to admit the Pepsi fangirl rage going on is pretty funny. So have at it as far as that is concerned. *throws computer screen out the window*
