The story takes place in an east-coast city of a fictional, alternate universe where robots, giant monsters, ninjas and other aspects of cartoon and fantasy not only exist, but have affected the development of the world around them. The comic focuses on the residents of the Byron Factory apartments, an old book printer from the turn-of-the-(last-)century that was recently converted into residential space.
