| Description*: | Teddy is troubled by long-held secrets and poorly controlled anger. His only solace is the letters he exchanges with his estranged uncle, famed adventure writer Martin Sable. When the letters are discovered and Teddy’s connection is cut off, he slips away to his uncle’s remote mansion, Wit’s End. But there are more troubles waiting within the house. Martin is missing, and a mysterious stranger from his past is tearing Wit’s End apart, room by room. As Teddy tries to find out what happened to his uncle, he encounters nightmarish visions of a skeletal figure, drowning in ink, determined to drag Teddy down with it. Sable: A Ghost Story is a gothic horror narrative, and contains many of the darker themes common in the genre, such as neglect, isolation, self-destructive ideation and imagery, and depictions of suffocation and drowning.
